Table Top Discussions
We’ll be repeating the tabletop discussion format that worked so well last April thanks to Harvey. These discussions give everyone the OPTIONAL opportunity to:
· Share the “wicked issues” that are keeping you awake at night
· Talk about recent “aha” moments or breakthroughs
· Receive support, insight, and perspective from your peers
· What you might bring to the table
· The issues you bring can relate to any aspect of your practice, including:
· Artistic or technical challenges
· Skills development
· Conceptual or creative blocks
· The business of art — how you get your work to the people who love it
(markets, exhibitions, galleries, online platforms, or other routes that work for you)
The purpose of the tabletop discussions is to create space for honest sharing, collective learning, and peer support.
Theme for this Meet Up: Attunement
I’m delighted to say that Zoe Pryce will be talking to us about what attunement means to her. We invited Zoe because she was observed giving an exemplary, live demonstration of true attunement at an event earlier this year. We’re very much looking forward to hearing how she achieves this in such an apparently effortless way.
· We will also discuss how attunement shows up in artistic practice
· How it can positively impact the business of art
· Other creative and professional contexts where attunement really matters
Drawn Art Exchange
More about this at the meeting, but in essence, we are looking at ways of creating more connections for DRAWN members and building external relationships. So come prepared with ideas for what organisations and individuals we could occasionally involve from outside of the DRAWN membership to our mutual benefit. We have a few ideas of our own to share :)
